Kare is a labor marketplace designed to turn people like you into HEROES who Save the Day for our customers, who are Senior Housing Communities and Nursing Homes. KARE is a platform (kinda like Uber, but you would pick up work for facilities, not consumers) where you can pick up work one shift at a time using the skills you already have.
Until recently, KARE only helped caregivers and nurses pick up extra work in these facilities, but these facilities are also in desperate need of cooks, housekeepers, waitstaff, maintenance personnel, and more!
Never worked with one of these facilities? Not sure what to do around a senior? Don’t sweat it.
Do you have a big heart? You are going to do great.
You will be working for these facilities, not for the residents themselves, so the facilities will tell you exactly what you will need to do when you arrive.
Can I work anywhere?
We will begin posting shifts in the following areas in a week or two (once we get enough people to sign up, we can start posting these shifts):
-Atlanta
-Austin
-Dallas
-Fort Worth
-Houston
-San Antonio
In a few weeks we will start rolling out to several other cities, so please watch for announcements!
It’s pretty simple. Once you sign up (more on that below), you will see shifts in your area that fit your skill set. It will tell you how much you will get paid, when and where the shift is, and little about the facility. If it looks interesting, click on the “Apply” button, and wait for the facility to approve you. Once you are approved, show up at the shift and do a great job! There is a 5-star rating system, so long as you get a 4- or 5- star review, you will often get paid the next business day, depending on when the shift ends.
And if you are looking for a full-time job, KARE is perfect for you! Because we don’t charge these facilities if they hire one of our Heroes full time, these facilities will often want to hire you!

Make sure you select “Hospitality/Dining” shifts when asked
You will need to upload a few documents, so please have them ready, like your drivers license, resume, furlough letter (if applicable), Recent TB test (if applicable), copy of any OSHA certifications (if applicable), ServSafe certificate (if you are a cook) and any other certifications that you may have that helps demonstrate your skills.
You may be prompted at the end to take a quick background check. (Don’t worry. We’ll pay for it.)
Once you upload everything, we will give everything a quick review and approve your profile
